Lullaby Project
Bre is proud to be a songwriter for Oregon Symphony's Lullaby Project for the past five years. The Lullaby Project – conceived by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute - uses the creative process of songwriting to improve well-being and child bonds with parents experiencing houselessness and incarceration. Together with the team at Path Home, musicians from the Oregon Symphony, and local singer-songwriters, parents and parents-to-be are creating personal lullabies for their children, expressing their hopes and dreams for the future. The families leave the program with a personalized and important lullaby that they often sing to their kids for years. They also get a professionally recorded version of their lullaby sung and played by professional musicians and members of the Oregon Symphony to play for their family!
This year, Bre and the father she worked with were featured on the front page of the Oregonian! Click here to read about their journey to write their lullaby together, and why it matters. Click here to watch their story on KOIN TV, and a big thank you to both reporters for making these stories happen!
